New and Now: Introducing the Colorful Nameplate Necklace A contemporary twist on a classic!

Name necklaces have always been used to reflect a person’s sense of identity and pride.  In recent years, it’s become an accessory staple, thanks in large part to pop culture. Everyone from Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) to Jennifer Lopez (Jenny from the Block) started rocking this chic staple which, at it’s orgin, is all about self love and acceptance and what’s not to love about that!? 

Street style is a trend that is here to stay and here at Beleco we wanted to find a unique way to contemporize this stylish accessory choice. Typically worn in silvers or golds, we decided to create a twist on this classic and add a touch of BOLD with some fun and playful color -- an additional way to personalize your necklace and reflect your own identity! We created this collection using a number of different font options as well which offers yet another way to set yourself apart from the crowd - from Old English to a more elegant cursive - there are so many options to choose from… but how to style this new and now trend!?

Street Styled: 

For those that are a little more hip and trendy, we love this accessory styled over top of a black cropped half-zip pullover and matching retro joggers with an oversized chore coat and pair of trendy runners. Let the all black ensemble be the backdrop to let your nameplate POP! To take this look the extra mile, try incorporating a pair of large hoop earrings as well! Chic and Stylish: 

If you see yourself as more of a “Carrie”, take a cue from the Fashion Queen herself and go minimalist. Pick a more delicate cursive font for your nameplate and style it with a simple silk chemise, oversized balloon-sleeved cardigan (in an oatmeal or ecru) and a pair of faded mom jeans and a chic brown ankle bootie.
