Zoom Halloween Party Costume Ideas: How to accessorize your costume for a digital Halloween fete!

It’s already mid-October (how did that happen to fast!?) and we’re already switching gears from pumpkin spiced lattes and apple picking to daydreaming about the perfect Halloween costume. This year's festivities may look a little different in light of COVID, but that doesn’t mean you have to skimp on FUN - Zoom Halloween party anyone!? You can still play dress-up with these 3 easy to make DIY costume ideas -- you don’t have to break the bank to look totally spook-tacular and FIERCE this Halloween season!

Costume Idea #1 Carrie Bradshaw:

The 90’s are back in a major way and why not pay homage to one of the greatest of the greats and go as the timeless fashion icon herself: Carrie Bradshaw *cue Sex and the City theme song*  
There are so many amazing Carrie looks to choose from, but we suggest going for a tried and true classic to ensure everyone knows who you are with the white tutu and pink bodysuit she wears in the show’s intro.

To get this look, you’ll need:
A white or cream three-tiered tutu (we suggest perusing your local second hand shop)
A pale pink bodysuit or tank top (we’re sure you’ve got one kicking around in your closet already)
A silver belt (you can get creative!)
Your favorite pair of strappy stilettos (not too high though, you’ll want to be comfortable)


To style this look, you’ll need:
To get your hair REALLY big and bouncy with tons of curls… and even more hairspray!

Costume Idea #2 J-Lo:

Street style is still a huge trend these days and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere soon. This Halloween, why not pay tribute to a classic street style ICON and go as everyone’s favorite, Jennifer Lopez a.k.a. ‘J-Lo’. We especially love her look from the 2000 MTV Video Awards and suggest her all-white bandana and crop top ensemble!

To get this look, you’ll need:
A white cropped tank top (bedazzling preferred!)
White flare jeans
A jeweled belt (check your local vintage store or make one at home!)
A white bandanna to wrap around your head (again… bedazzling is an added bonus!)

To style this look, you’ll need:
To curl your locks and do some partial, braided pigtails
BIG hoop earrings (the bigger the better!)

Costume Idea #3 Donatella Versace:

She’s fierce, she’s fabulous! Go GLAM this Halloween as Donatella Versace! It’s easy to get this look, just think BIG AND BOLD! For some inspo, we suggest perusing her Instagram page to really channel the essence of Donatella!

• Your favorite black, bodycon dress (the tighter, the better!) 
• Sky-high black stilettos or boots 
• Big black sunglasses (think: HUGE and dramatic)

Costume Idea #4 Billie Eilish

Have some serious fun with your look and go as teen pop sensation Billie Eilish, her over-the-top, eccentric fashion sense would be a BLAST to try on for size this Halloween! You can really choose any of her looks and just be sure to add a lot of neon, and too much jewelry (if that’s even possible!?) to truly capture Billie’s essence. • Bold green or yellow neon clothing (shirt, pants -- there’s no such thing as too much neon!) 

To style this look you’ll need:

• Over-the-top fake nails in black and/or neon! (longer is best!)
